Impact (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides personalized travel, career, and life-impact intelligence through our website at app.impactme.co, our mobile apps, and related clients (together, the “Service”).
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
- Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, Google account identifier, display name, and profile picture from Google.
- Teach Twin / Life Graph data: Information you choose to add, such as location, life stage, travel plans, career details, goals, and uploaded documents you submit.
- LinkedIn data (optional): If you connect LinkedIn, we receive profile information you authorize.
- Generated content: Personalized impact cards and summaries created for your feed.
- Usage data: Authentication tokens, push notification tokens, request timestamps, and error logs needed to operate the Service.
- Location (optional): Approximate or precise location if you grant permission, used to improve local relevance.
How we use your information
- Authenticate you and maintain your account
- Store and display your Teach Twin / Life Graph
- Generate personalized impact updates relevant to your profile
- Send optional push notifications about your feed
- Improve reliability, security, and performance
- Respond to support requests and legal obligations
Google Sign-In
We use Google OAuth for authentication. Google’s use of information is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy. We only request the profile information needed to create and maintain your Impact account.
AI processing
To generate personalized impact cards and Teach Twin follow-ups, we may send relevant portions of your saved profile to AI service providers that process data on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only:
- With service providers that help us operate the Service (hosting, authentication, AI processing), under contractual confidentiality obligations
- When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process
- To protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the Service, or the public
Data retention
We retain your account and Teach Twin data while your account is active. You may delete your account at any time on our account deletion page or by emailing us. We may retain limited information for legal, security, or backup purposes (up to 90 days).
Your choices
- Review and update Teach Twin data you have provided
- Sign out of the Service at any time
- Deny optional location or notification permissions
- Request access to or deletion of your data via account deletion
Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
